Fall Inspiration | Inspiración para el Otoño

En mi país las épocas del año no son muy marcadas, de hecho solo tenemos verano e invierno. Pero en estos próximos meses el clima estará muy apropiada para vestir ropa de otoño.

Esta vez quiero  mostrarles algunas tendencias que he identificado para el otoño, tomando como referencia Brandy Melville, Forever 21, Love Culture y Urban Outfitters.

 In my country, the seasons are not very strong, in fact we only have summer and winter. But in the coming months the weather will be very appropriate to wear fall clothes.

This time I want to show you some trends that I've identified for fall, with reference from Brandy Melville, Forever 21, Love Culture, and Urban Outfitters.

A mi ME ENCANTA el estampado floral. Y esta tendencia llegó para quedarse. Algunas piezas tienen estampado floral, sobre todo en fondos negros. Ahora también pueden combinarse con otros estampados como rayas, puntos y otros. 

I LOVE FLORAL PRINT and this trend is here to stay. Some pieces have floral print, especially on black backgrounds. They can be combined with other patterns like stripes, dots, and others.

 

Las botas y los sombreros o beanies son algunos de los accesorios que pueden usarse en esta temporada. Los beanies protegen el cabello del viento o del frío y las botas son de mucha ayuda en un día lluvioso.

The boots and hats or beanies are some of the accessories that can be used this season. The beanies protect hair from the wind or cold and the boots are very helpful on a rainy day.

 Los estampados en general parecen ser una tendencia (no tan fuerte) en este otoño. Sobre todo en pantalones o shorts, combinados con una pieza de color sólido en la parte superior.

The prints in general seem to be a trend (not as strong) this fall. Especially in pants or shorts, combined with a solid color piece on top.

 

Los suéteres son básicos para esta temporada, sobre todo porque con las lluvias o vientos inesperados es mejor estar cubierta. Son prendas simples y cómodas que se acoplan perfecto a un outfit de otoño.

Los colores que predominan para esta época parecen ser los cafés, negros y marrones con pequeños toques de colores. Los colores tierra se verán muchísimo en este otoño.

The sweaters are basics for this season, mainly because of the unexpected rains or winds, it's better to be covered. They are simple and comfortable clothes that fit perfect to a fall outfit.

The predominant colors for this time appear to be brown, black and wine-red with touches of color. The "earth" colors are basics this fall.

Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Powder REVIEW | Polvos compactos Mineral Wear de Physicians Formula

Usualmente prefiero comprar polvos compactos y esta vez no fue la excepción. Decidí probar los polvos de Physicians Formula porque me parece una marca buenísima. Quiero compartirles mis comentarios sobre este producto.

I usually prefer to buy compact powder and this time was not the exception. I decided to try the Physicians Formula powder 'cause it's an amazing brand. I want to share with you my comments about this product.

El empaque es muy sencillo pero te permite ver el tono de los polvos.

El contenedor de los polvos me parece super bueno porque no se abre con facilidad, si los llevas en tu cartera no debes preocuparte porque dificilmente se van a salir de su lugar. Y estéticamente se ven super bien.

The packaging is very simple but you can see the tone of the powder.
The container of the powder it's really nice because it doesn't open easily, if you carry it in your purse you don't have to be worry. And aesthetically they look super good.

Trae un espejo y una brocha. La brocha funciona bastante bien, da una cobertura uniforme.

It has a  mirror and a brush. The brush works really well, it gives you an uniform coverage.

Ahora hablemos de cómo trabajan los polvos. A mi me encantaron. Sellan muy bien los poros, y si se usa base queda un mejor acabado. Duran muchísimo tiempo, durante toda una tarde no tuve necesidad de retoques. Mi cara lucía bastante natural (que es lo que normalmente se busca en los polvos). No necesité usar mucho producto para obtener el resultado que quería.

Now, let's talk about how the powder works. I love them! They seal the pores very well, and if you use foundation you get a better finish. They stay for a lot time, I didn't retouch my face during all an afternoon. My face looked really natural (this is what we look for with the makeup). I didn't use too much product to get my results.

Definitivamente un producto recomendadísimo. Al igual que los demás productos de Physicians Formula.

DIY Tribal headband-diadem. Recycle your old accessories | Hazlo tú misma, diadema tribal. Recicla tus accesorios

Recientemente revisé mis antiguos accesorios. Me dí cuenta que tenía varias diademas que ya no utilizaba, así que pensé en darles una nueva vida. A continuación podrás ver cómo convertí la mía en una con un diseño tribal, es muy simple:

Recently I checked my old accessories. I realized I had several diadems or headbands that are no longer used, so I thought of giving them a new life. Below you will see how mine became one with a tribal design, it's very simple:

Esta es mi diadema. Era rosada con unos detalles brillantes.

This is my headband. It was bright pink with some details.

1. Lo primero que necesitaremos es cubrir con una capa de color blanco. Puedes utilizar cualquier tipo de pintura, incluso esmalte para uñas. Otra opción es el acrílico, pero debes saber manejarlo bien.

The first thing you need is cover the headband with a layer of white. You can use any type of paint, even nail polish. Another option is acrylic, but have to know how to use it.

2.  Si el color de tu diadema es muy claro, este paso no es necesario. Si tiene detalles, 

como la mía, debes cubrir bien para que sea más fácil aplicarle otro color encima.

If the color of your headband is very clear, this step is not necessary. If yours has details, like mine, you should cover it well to make it easier to apply another color on top.

3. Ahora puedes empezar a pintar con el color que prefieras. Yo escogí un verde menta

Now you can start painting with the color you prefer. I chosen a mint green

Recuerda el color debe quedar uniforme.

Remember the color should be uniform.

4. Ahora puedes tomar inspiración de alguna imagen. Y debes empezar a dibujar el diseño tribal en tu diadema. Para esto puedes usar esmalte u otra tinta. Yo te recomiendo utilizar una plumilla "Sharpie"

Now you can take inspiration from an image. And you start drawing the tribal design on your headband. For this you can use nail polish or other ink. I'd recommend to use a "Sharpie" pen.

Y ya está. Ahora tienes un nuevo accesorio :)

And that's it. Now you have a new accessory :)

MINIONS Tutorial de uñas | Nail tutorial

A mi me encanta "Mi villano favorito". Antes de que se estrenara la segunda parte hice un nail art de minions y creo que no es muy tarde para mostrarlo.

Sigue paso a paso estas instrucciones:

I love "Despicable Me". Before the premiere of Despicable Me 2 I made a nail art with a minion. I think it's not too late to show you how to make it.
Follow this steps:

1. Pinta tu uña o uñas con una base de color amarillo.

Paint your nail or nails with a yellow base.

2. Toma un pincel o un esmalte de los que traen la brocha más delgada. Yo usé un Pelikan 00. Puedes usar incluso un lapicero que ya no tenga tinta, la idea es tener algo finito con lo que puedas dibujar.

Take a brush or a nail polish with a thin brush. I used a Pelikan 00. You can use an empty pen,
the idea is to have something thin to draw.

3. Dibuja una línea delgada cerca de la cutícula, con esmalte negro.

Draw a thin line close to the cuticle, with black polish

 

4. Toma cualquier objeto que tenga la punta redonda, puedes seguir utilizando el pincel. Yo preferí esta punta de la mascara "Maybelline One by one" (que aparentemente no tenía ningún uso después de abierta). A continuación vamos a dibujar un círculo, así que toma el elemento que te facilite ese proceso.

Take any object with a rounded toe, you can continue with the brush. I used a cap of the Maybelline One by one mascara. We are going to draw a circle, so take any object that make the process easier.

5. Ahora toma el esmalte gris y dibuja un círculo al centro de la línea negra.

Take the gray polish and draw a circle in the center of the black line.

6. Dentro del círculo gris, dibuja uno más pequeño pero de color blanco.

Draw a little white circle inside of the gray circle.

7. Ahora agrega un puntito negro al centro. Dibuja una sonrisa debajo del ojo.

Add a little black dot in the center. Draw a smile down below to the eye.

8. Toma tu esmalte azul y dibuja una línea gruesa que abarque el borde de tu uña pero que no toque la sonrisa de tu minion.

Take the blue polish and draw a thick line, it should include the edge of 

your nail but it should not touch the smile of the minion.

9. Ahora añade detalles, como los tirantes del traje que son líneas simples que van sobre el bloque de color azul. También puedes agregar unos pelitos sobre el ojo.

Add some details, like the "sleeves" or "braces" of the costume (simple lines). 

You also can draw some hair up over the eye.

¡Listo! Que lo disfruten

Tips:

• Puedes dibujar más minions en tus otras uñas. 

• También puedes pintar el resto de tus uñas con un color sólido, como amarillo o azul.

• Varía las expresiones de tus minions, dibuja uno enojado, otro super feliz.

• Algunos de los colores O.P.I. que puedes usar son (búscalos por nombre):

-Amarillo : Need sunglasses?

-Negro: Black onyx

-Gris: French Quarter for your thoughts

-Azul: Blue my mind

-Blanco: Funny bunny

Tips:

• You can draw more minions on your nails.

• You can also paint the rest of your nails with a solid color, like blue or yellow

• Change the expressions of the minions, draw an angry face, or super happy.

• Some of the colors O.P.I. you can use are this: 

-Yellow: Need sunglasses?

-Black: Black onyx

-Gray: French Quarter for your thoughts

-Blue: Blue my mind

-White: Funny bunny
